War in the Pacific HW

Stock Market Simulation
You are given $500, what present-day company (or companies) would you buy stock in? How many shares would you buy? What was price of the share when you bought it? You can check the price at home either on on-line or on a smart phone. We will check the price of the stock tomorrow in class to see whether the price has gone up or down.

For this assignment, you need to complete the graphic organizer for pgs. 690-691.Also, I would like you to decide on whether or not you believe the United States should have signed the Treaty of Versailles. I would like you to give three reasons for your answer or you may give three alternate solutions to reach peace. Please make sure your answer is at least one paragraph.
Treaty of Versailles activity
For this assignment, complete graphic organizer for pgs. 688-689. Also, you need to complete the Treaty of Versailles table you received in class. For each topic of negotiation, you need to choose one of the three options based on which one would benefit the country you were assigned to represent. The topic of negotations were some of the many topics discussed at the peace talks at Versailles. Please make sure you consult the list of main issues brought to the treaty that is included on the description of your country. We will discuss your answers tomorrow in class.
World War I Homefront Venn Diagram Activity
For this assignment, I would like you to compare and contrast everyday life in America during the WWI and another war. (i.e. Civil War, WWII, Vietnam War, Iraq War) You will compare the women's roles, the payment of the war, and the opposition to the war. I would like you to use your textbook and online research to complete the Venn diagrams. This assignment will be due when we return from vacation.

Request for an Armsitice Activity
For this assignment, you will complete your graphic organizer for pages 680-681. The reading you will do for homework focuses on the end of the war and Germany’s request for an armistice (truce) from the United States. For this assignment, I would like you to pretend to be President Woodrow Wilson and decide on whether or not to create an armistice with Germany. If so, what will be the grounds or requirements of the truce? (i.e. payment of destruction to Allied powers, giving up conquered land) If you believe the United States should not, what will be done next in the war? (i.e. continue fighting, mobilizing of troops) Please write at least one paragraph including three reasons supporting your opinion. This assignment is due in class tomorrow and will be discussed at that time.
Ch. 23, Sec. 3 HW (2/6)
- Complete Graphic Organizer for pgs. 677-680 in the textbook
- Battle of Argonne Forest activity (Questions #1, #2 and the Activity)
- For the Activity, you will pretend to be Major Charles Whittlesey and prepare three dated messages to send to headquarters about what was going on during the battle. This will be checked and discussed in class on Monday.
Should the US have entered WWI?
In at least one paragraph, please answer the question of whether or not you believe the US should have entered WWI. Please provide at least 3 examples to support your opinion. Also, if you believe they should have what should be done next or what should have been the war strategy? If you do not believe they should have also tell me what would have needed to be done in order to maintain neutrality.
